StoryVeda is used by children but owned by parents. This page sets out exactly what we do — and deliberately do not do — to keep that safe.
Not on the free tier, not anywhere. We do not work with ad networks and we do not transmit the Android Advertising ID.
A story ends and nothing begins after it. There is no next-episode countdown and no infinite feed to fall into.
No coins, no chests, no upgrade prompts inside a story. Subscriptions live in the parent's area, behind Google Play.
Every account is a parent account, created by an adult over 18. Children appear only as profiles inside it.
Row-level security in the database means one family can never read another's stories, profiles or recordings. No data is sold, ever.
Every story has a flag button. Reports come to us directly, we read them, and we correct or withdraw the story.
Personalised stories are generated by OpenAI's GPT-4, illustrated by Google Imagen and narrated by ElevenLabs. All generated content is filtered for age-appropriateness before a child sees it.
Filtering is good. It is not infallible. That is precisely why the flag button exists on every single story, and why a human — not a model — reads what you report.
No violence, no frightening imagery, no religious content that declares one practice mandatory, no photographs of real children, and no medical or developmental claims about your child.
If you record your own voice so it can narrate your child's stories, four rules apply, and they are not negotiable:
StoryVeda is designed to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, the Information Technology Act 2000 and IT Rules 2021, the Google Play Families Policy and Google Play Data Safety requirements.
