Terms of Service

1. Who can use StoryVeda

You must be at least 18 years old to create a StoryVeda account. All accounts are parent accounts, held by an adult and used on behalf of the children in their family. Children do not create their own accounts.

2. What the service includes

StoryVeda provides a library of curated bedtime stories, AI-generated personalised stories, audio narration, prayers, meditation audio, sleep sounds and learning features such as the Magic Word Vault and gratitude journal.

We add to and improve the service continually. Features may change, and we may retire a feature that is not working well.

3. Your account

• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure, and for activity that happens under your account.
• An account may be signed in on up to 2 devices simultaneously. Signing out of a device frees the slot immediately.
• Accounts are for one family. Sharing an account outside your household is not permitted.

4. Free tier

StoryVeda is free to start, with no card required. The free tier includes:

• Full access to the curated story library
• Up to 3 AI-generated personalised stories per month
• Prayers, meditations, sleep sounds and affirmation features
• No advertising, exactly as on the paid plans

5. Paid subscriptions

Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Google Play, not inside StoryVeda. Google Play handles billing, renewal and cancellation. To cancel, go to Google Play → Subscriptions → StoryVeda → Cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

Prices are shown in Indian rupees and include applicable taxes as displayed by Google Play at checkout.

6. Refunds

Because subscriptions are billed by Google Play, refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy, not by us directly. We will always help you pursue one — see our refunds page for exactly how.

7. Voice recordings

If you choose to create a personalised narrator voice, you grant us a limited licence to process your recording through ElevenLabs solely to generate narration for your own family's stories inside StoryVeda.

You confirm that the voice is yours, or that you have the authority of the person whose voice it is. You may delete the recording at any time, which ends that licence.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use StoryVeda for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access, disrupt or reverse-engineer our systems
• Share your account outside your family
• Attempt to generate content that is harmful to children
• Reproduce or resell StoryVeda content commercially

We may suspend an account that breaches these terms.

9. AI-generated content

Personalised stories, cover illustrations and narration are generated using AI. All generated content is filtered for age-appropriateness, but no filter is perfect.

10. Intellectual property

StoryVeda™ is a trademark of Aditi Joon, used under licence by Excelencia Digital Marketing Pvt Ltd. The app, its library content, artwork including Veda Moon, and its design are owned by us or our licensors.

Stories generated for your child are yours to enjoy for personal, non-commercial use.

11. Gifts

• Gift purchases are one-time payments taken through Razorpay. A gift never auto-renews.
• Gift codes do not expire and may be redeemed by the recipient's parent at any time.
• A gift redeemed onto an existing subscription extends it. Nothing is lost and nothing is double-charged.
• Gifts are non-transferable once redeemed.

12. Disclaimers

StoryVeda is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We design for calmer bedtimes, but we make no medical, developmental, educational or sleep-outcome claims about any child.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Excelencia Digital Marketing Pvt Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of StoryVeda.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
